A natural is a two-card hand totaling 8 or 9. When either the Player or Banker is dealt a natural, no additional cards are drawn and the round resolves immediately.

Most live baccarat tables charge a 5% commission on winning Banker bets because Banker has a slight statistical edge. The commission is deducted automatically from your payout before it posts.

A Tie bet wins if the Player and Banker hands finish with equal totals. It typically pays 8-to-1 but carries the highest house edge of the three main wager types.

A shoe is the dealing device holding multiple decks — usually six or eight — shuffled together. Live dealer tables use a physical shoe; the dealer draws cards from it each round.

Squeeze is a table variant where the dealer slowly bends and reveals the cards for dramatic effect. The rules stay identical; the format adds ceremony that mimics high-stakes casino floors.

Speed Baccarat is a live variant with a compressed betting window, usually around 27 seconds per round. It plays the same rules as classic baccarat but delivers more hands per hour.
